Los anillos-sellos  con forma cuadrada o engastes rectangulares con marcas rayadas o incisiones son característicos de la orfebrería  del Tercer Período Intermedio en Egipto.

Durante esta época, la producción de joyas, especialmente en oro y materiales como el lapislázuli, incluía diseños geométricos y el uso de escarabajos, a menudo con detalles rayados en sus bases que eran utilizados como sellos. 
El contexto del Tercer Período Intermedio,  se caracterizó por la fragmentación del poder y la influencia libia, pero la orfebrería mantuvo altos estándares, con anillos de oro macizo y engastes rectangulares o cuadrados.

Square-shaped signet rings or rectangular settings with striated markings or incisions are characteristic of the goldsmithing of the Third Intermediate Period in Egypt. During this era, jewelry production, especially in gold and materials such as lapis lazuli, included geometric designs and the use of scarabs, often with striated details on their bases, which were used as seals.

The context of the Third Intermediate Period was characterized by the fragmentation of power and Libyan influence, but goldsmithing maintained high standards, with solid gold rings and rectangular or square settings.

Detalles de la pieza / Artwork Details:

De bronce. Este anillo tiene un aro conectado a una caja de engaste. La parte superior, aparecen uno diseño de marca en estrella.

La estrella o roseta se utilizaba a menudo como símbolo de protección o regeneración. Muchos de estos anillos funcionaban como sellos personales (signet rings) y amuletos, siendo enterrados con sus dueños para protección en el más allá.

Made of bronze. This ring has a band connected to a setting. A star-shaped brand design appears on the top. The star or rosette was often used as a symbol of protection or regeneration. Many of these rings served as personal signet rings and amulets, being buried with their owners for protection in the afterlife.
